Pinching is a frequently used technique in quantum information theory nowadays. Roughly speaking it collapses the state into a lower dimensional subspace of the set of quantum states. The volume of the quantum states, according to different measures, is a well known, but still unsolved problem. However in the case of Lebesgue-measure there are two different method to compute the volume. In the lecture this two method will be presented, and the volume of the set of pinched states will be computed using a generalised version one of the mentioned methods.
